Welcome to Tonbridge Dementia Friendly Business Exchange

Making Tonbridge a safer place for elderly and vulnerable people

Through support and organised events, we want to encourage businesses to become Dementia Friendly, focusing on preventing fraud and improving retail experiences for elderly and vulnerable residents.

This will be achieved with the engagement of the banks, services and shops in Tonbridge Town Centre.

Tonbridge Dementia Friendly Business Exchange 2018

Wednesday 7th March 2018 - Tonbridge Juddians RFC

Each year thousands of pounds are taken from elderly and vulnerable people all over the UK.  By working together we can help reduce the amount of money being scammed out of our local residents.  Those living with dementia are particularly susceptible.  This event offers the opportunity to learn more about how easy it is to fall prey to scams and how we can all take action to help prevent people suffering financial loss and emotional harm.  There will also be training on understanding dementia and why its symptoms leave people living with these diseases particularly at risk.
